When we have an occasion we always use Desserts Beyond the Ordinary. They never disappoint...always on point! Cakes are always delicious and top notch quality. They even stayed past 4 pm for a late/forgotten pick up! Desserts Beyond the Ordinary are for sure above and beyond the ordinary!

Wow! We were visiting family and wanted to pick up some cannoli to bring home in the cooler. We grabbed pustie, lobster tail, cannoli and sfogliatella. Everything was AMAZING - the filling was unique to each dessert, the pastry was perfect, the flavor of each? absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for the BEST Italian desserts in Utica in 2026, this is it. If I had to pick one thing to critique it would be location. It’s a hidden in a strip mall next to a dollar store and liquor store in North Utica, but Google Maps did a good job getting to the front door. Just pay attention to the signs so you don’t end up on the thruway (80/90).

My sister started picking up cannoli's from here when I was having a bad day. They're my favorite dessert and I've tried one from almost every place in the area. These do not disappoint! I love all the different flavors too!

I put in an order the day before and they made it in time. The strawberry Bavarian is a very light, not so sweet cake. It will appeal to the older crowd and especially those that avoid heavy buttercream frosting. It was an 8 inch cake. We had 8 people and had more than half of the cake left over.

Pastries are amazing!!! Brownie with peanut butter frosting is fantastic and the gluten free peanut butter cup with cannoli frosting was loved by my celiacs daughter!

We got our wedding cake from Desserts Beyond the Ordinary and it was literally the talk of the entire wedding. The Strawberry Bavarian cake is to die for; our guests raved about it! I think we may have been upstaged by our cake that’s how good it was! Lori was a pleasure to work with, and she and her team did a great job of communicating with us, delivering to our venue, and of course, providing us with the most delicious cake! Highly recommend them for not just wedding cakes, but any dessert; all of their stuff is so delicious.
